I bet I know how to make a space ship that could go to the mars place ..read?
This is my view of a very big ride to space and to mars Ok lets say that I we need to go to mars and we cant pay for the ship to get built becouse of the united states money is weaker now days All we would need to do is build a space ship out of old parts ...Hint hint ...every place that has a metal object like a old rocket that they had to use in the 50s just bring it back and re do it into a new fresh paint job and then make it out of that but how would we go there ? using rockets with sea salt and 10000 Wood stoves to burn power ...o ya we would burn wood to mars and it would be 40 000 trees of wood or more .. so it would cost maybe ? old parts . wood . and eating stuff ..i would say maybe 2 & of what it cost now ....maybe 24 00 dollars that is if we can cutt the wood by next year lol : but the hard part would be for america to build a wood stove so they can burn natural smoke that could be a more natural method

Hi. If we could convert the trees to energy (pure energy, not smoke) then assuming each tree was 1 ton we would have 40,000 tons of fuel. Heat it using a very efficient means (ionization, not burning) and it could work. But why not use water? It is denser than wood, giving a higher specific thrust, and would only leave a vapor trail of water. We are much more likely to find water on Mars than trees for the return trip.

Wood doesn't burn fast enough or give enough energy to propel a spacecraft to escape velocity. If it did every campfire would explode. And the old rockets aren't used now because we have better technology. The shuttles were good for a while but even they are outdated; that's why they're being retired. Old technology usually isn't as good as new technology. That's why we keep developing new technology.
