why cant america say to mexico to be like china? in chinese they make parents only have two babies. after that they throw the other away to controlled the popolation. why cant we make mexican do something simlar? it make them not allow much of them into the united states, who sent the money back to mexico to buy drugs and such. wouldnt this safe the police time instead of looking for papers? this is not a racism, just a possibly solution to a big problem. obama wont fix it! this not mean to the mexican who have came here legally and pay tax. only for criminals who come over illegeally.

Amanda Knox = guilty or innocent?
What parents need to do is to EDUCATE their children before their children go overseas, make them understand that while living in another country they are NOT under American laws, so they have to abide and respect other countries' laws and regulations. It's not fair that they get to travel overseas doing things that are NOT allow in the United States and then run home to hide! Hopefully Amanda WILL SERVE 26 years sentence as dictated by the Italian law and then she can come home once her sentence is finished; but until then, she and her family needs to respect and no underscore other countries' system just because they don't like how it was ruled. To me Amanda is guilty and her family is behaving like babies and UNEDUCATED FOLKS! They need to stop their tantrum and get a grip! After all, Amanda is in good hands, she is being treated with respect as I don't see her in ORANGE suit or hang cuffed as she would have been in the United States of America if the crime would have occur here. Her lawyer comforted her, I don't know what lawyer will hug you in America, if they say "sorry" would have been too much! Or $100 more since MONEY in AMERICA is everything! She should feel bless that this happened in Italy and not in the U.S. and even people would have feel different about this case if it would have happened at home! Do you think she will had have all this attention if the whole ordeal would have happened at home, hell not!

I think the girl knew the laws. She was not uneducated. She was just a slut, whose roommate has had enough of her behavior. They got into an argument one to many times and she decided to kill her roommate with the help of her Harry Potter boyfriend. From what I have seen of her family, they do respect the Italian laws. Foxy Knoxy, I'm not quite sure. I believe she thought she would never be caught and if caught not convicted.

How can we fix the welfare system?
Not many politicians want to address this, but it's easily the biggest problem in America. The abuse of this system is gross. More kids, more money. No father, more money. Claim the kid is "special," more money. Free formula. Food stamps. Folks, this system was designed to help people get off there feet. I think most people (originally) paid it back. All this system does is recycle poverty, drugs and crime. There is NO REASON you can't make a great living in the United States Of America.....NO REASON. How do we fix this? Why won't politicians address this? One way.....start requiring a drug test before you get the check. Hey Bettercockster! That was a horrible, horrible response. I have every right to whine because I live in a city that is being ruined by welfare. The crime it creates is ruthless. So don't tell me to mind my own business! This is my first step at getting some answers. I plan to be heard.

Great question. My proposed solution will ruffle the feathers of some people. But here it is: If you are on welfare, the government should trade job training and money for several things. They are as follows: 1) Make these people get out of bed in the morning and report to the local job office. If you have kids, the daycare will be free. They then take the person and they do a community service for 3 to 4 hours per day picking up trash, fixing broken things, painting over grafatti, etc. After lunch, they spend 3 to 4 hours is spent on either getting their GED or some other job training where they can support themselves. 2) They must go on some type of birth control like an implanted IUD or something. You are not taking away their right to have children, but you are suspending it for a while. You have to be able to support what you have and not add onto the expenses. 3) Give them financial counceling to help them budget their money. 4) Give them drug tests. If they fail, the drug laws kick in and they are prosecuted. 5) Give them a time limit to be on it. 5 or 6 years should be a sufficient time to get your life in order. But some people will call me heartless about my proposal.

I hear what you're saying but here's my take on it, until the government stops bailing out Multi trillion dollar industries like the airline industry by giving them billions of dollars to help them run their companies better, despite their executive managment are making millions in bonuses... I could care less. If you're that passionate about ending welfare then do something about the corporate welfare that we the tax payers ultimately pay for as well. And since we both know that's never going to happen, here's my advice to you. Stop whining and live your life by your standards. If you don't like the city you live in then move. If you want to stay in a dilapidated city and then come on Y/A and give ficticious scenarios on how you would clean it up... then you and that city deserve one another.

I deal with this allllll the time in my job. First off, those that keep having kids- in MY WORLD- those kids would be adopted out by parents that can afford them. I'm tired of breeders that treat their kids like junk, only because it increases their monthly stipend. Then- mandatory drug testing Next- Job within 2 years and to show proof that they are job hunting weekly, even if its McDonalds. They need to actually work. Ppl get too used to laying on their butts. Next-Native Americans and their monthly stipends. That is unreal, I'm sorry but its only increasing their drug and alcohol abuse. I lived in a high population of Native Americans, and what the government is enabling them to do by supplying them with bimonthly stipends is definately not advancing them. You did not want to be out on the road when they recieved their checks, it wasn't safe. The government has created a monster with this welfare system, it torks me off daily when I see these mom's pregnant, smoking, drinking, don't give a rip about their inutero baby and I have to ultrasound it, knowing its just a money machine. Many middle class American go to live in France,Ireland or Italy when they have job opportunity there even when the salary is lower than in the united states.Although many Americans describe themselves as patriotic,no one would refuse an opportunity to go live in France or Glasgow,England. Europe attract more tourist than America because its beautiful.Why can't America put more money on making cities and regions more nicer.Car inspection are mandatory by many insurance company and refuse to make it can make your monthly payment higher.Why united states can't make law that make New-yorker improve their house by pouting flowers,painting it with a matching color that make the neighborhood beautiful.People who improve their house facade would get taxt reduction.Why America should stay ugly until American worker live the country in retirement and make loose more tax payer.A quarter of million retired American worker are already living in the Philippines and Thailand,bangkok.

Im not quite sure if those numbers are right or not but yes America is America. A lot of people have dreams to travel the world and move and see life around the little box in such a large world. I don't really think it's just America, as there's the good the bad and the ugly anywhere you go.

If I understand you correctly (and I'm dizzy from trying to follow your rant, here) you are suggesting that New York State should offer tax rebates to private individuals for making cosmetic improvements to their homes, in order to make them more attractive to international tourists (I think?). The problem with this is that it flies in the face of the idea of home ownership in the US. Who gets to decide what colors match, or what type of flowers should be in the pots? On the other hand, many local municipalities DO offer incentives for home improvement, including (but not limited to) energy and resource efficient improvements, exterior maintenance and beautification, re-establishment and beautification of historic or urban neighborhoods, etc. The difference is that these are not compulsory (except for historic districts and HOA covenanted properties), and do not infringe on an individuals right of expression. In addition, homes in many areas of Europe are not actually owned by the occupant. "Owners" rent the property from the state, or the royal family, etc. for long periods ( I know of one case where a family had lived in the same home for seven generations, having been granted a deed of residence for 250 years. The money had changed hands in the late 1700's, and the current occupants paid no rent. They had the ability to sell the right to reside in the property for the remainder of the 250 years, but did not have true ownership of the property.
