Dont laugh please, but i want to become President of the United States?
Earlier, I asked a question of what in a president would make people happy. I soon noted that answer number 5 described me in the bestest way possible. I have been sick of relying on the Middle East for oil, tired of giving all the money to the United Arab Emirates for their oil. I for once if would be elected, would ask congress to pass a law or act that would fund scientific studies on coal. You see, in America, there is tripple the amount of oil found in the Middle East. I dream of having my country depend on our American energy, coal. Why? Because coal can be converted into a substitute for natural gas. It is also very goof for our enviorment, as it does not cause pollution like gas. It is also able to conduct electricity. This would create a cleanier , oil dependant free America. Without all this oil in mind, we wouldn't have to be going into all these wars and depend on Middle eastern countries. While I agree with you that we need to find another, more natural and environmentally sound method of energy, you're off a little. First, we DON'T get most of our oil from the Middle East. We get it from Canada, Mexico, and Venezuela. There are only two countries in the Middle East that are even in the top 20: United Arab Emirates, and Saudi Arabia. I admire your fervor. However, I think you need to take more civics and economics classes; at this point, I don't feel that you know enough. Also, there is no such word as "bestest."

That is a great idea but you are not the first one to think of it. In Oklahoma they have switch grass that makes ethanol. coal and lots of people have spent billions on electric cars but the oil company's are 86% own by Republicans. Do you know what would happen to their billions of dollars? They use every legislation known to man to stop it. We are not dependent on foreign oil. Bushes own oil wells in Kuwait. They need peace over there to protect their oil wells.

Vying for that high of a dream is very admirable. But also regard other things when thinking about being president. There are hundreds of other issues out there other than the Middle East crisis and you must also know how to handle yourself in difficult situations. You must also carefully think of consequences that may arise from your actions, even when it seems like you're hurting no one and it is beneficial for the country. There are hundreds, if not thousands of factors that may end up hurting many people. Such as your example on switching to coal. Remember that there are people with jobs, families, and lives revolving on oil and that coal, like oil, is limited in supply. It would also require a huge amount of money, not only in switching every oil-operated equipment to coal, but also fine tuning it to be as efficient as oil. If you want to be president, keep working towards it. If you can make the world a better place to live, then you have my vote...at least you do when I could just remember to register...

Coal is a non-renewable resource. Use it up, and it's gone. The US might prosper in your lifetime, but there will be hell to pay in years to come. Same with nuclear energy. Most of our energy comes form nuclear, and we only have 50 more years of it. It will disappear in your lifetime, my friend. Try solar energy instead. Current solar panels only use a fraction of the energy it collects. A solar panel that can use 100% of the energy it collects would be the greatest invention since the lightbulb.

Every American should have the ability to become President. That is what our country was founded on, equality for all. Start out small on the local political aspect, and work your way up. Is it OK to Burn Coal? Should we increase our reliance on Coal? The most abundant domestic nergy resource in America? The United States is Broke. We are, face it. Why send more dollars overseas to buy foreign oil? Our environment is precious. But our the state of our technology requires us to be heavy energy consumers. While we promote the development of very expensive alternative energy sources, what will we do to sustain the current cost of energy? Oil below $40.00 a barrel is just a temporary thing. The average price of oil over the last 2 years has jumped from 60 to 90 dollars a barrel. We forget the gas madness of this past summer. At what point do we realize that we cannot afford to ignore one of our richest resources? Coal. We have it. Why not use it? Coal for electric cars. Homes. everything..... Is there a way to make coal an acceptable energy source?

I am just asking i mean people love the kind of money they can make here or they love they can get into a car at any given moment and drive wereever they want to i mean yea they have restriced area i mean bought property or what not but im seriouse every one is putting the united states down when come on it is a pretty good place to live if you like cold weather go north if you like hot weather go south if you like to see politics go northeast if you like rual places travel down in the south i mean comeon when you think about people saying america sucks and all this and that look around come on america aint so bad actuelly it is pretty damn good place to live if ya look and think about it.

Current economic situation in america.. make me money?
Okk so im sure were all aware of the current economic turmoil facing the world and particularly the united states. Ok bare in mind im 16 so go easy on my knowledge. Ive been thinking because the dow jones ie. american dollar is so worthless at the moment i could buy £20's worth of dollars... and then after all this is all sorted out and the dow jones price increases i could sell the dollars back and end up with more than my inital £20.... would it work? isit risky? if nott please explain.

How can I feel free, secure and able to use my constitutional rights while living in the United States of America when the US Government itself denies me these same rights? In order to preserve the security at our borders (by letting people cross into the northern US where there are no fences between Canada and the US, no check points, no border crossings, or to the south, allow people to enter freely from Mexico through our simple system of a fence in a desert, listening for keywords in all of our communications, our computers, watching us from the sky in satellites, monitoring our every movements, watching our bank accounts, our savings accounts, our daily money transactions, watching our check writing, our ATM usage, our credit card usage, counting our handguns and rifles, monitoring the purchase of ammunition and gun powder, and yet I should feel safe and secure in my own home? When will the words "we the people" ever mean anything to the corporate mongers that actually run the US Senate and the US Congress and the PAC's and the white-house flunky in charge at the time? When will we actually be able to once again believe that we actually have civil rights? When will the constitution of the US ever become meaningful again? When will we be able to hold those in office of US Government accountable for their stupidity and wrongdoing? When will we have a new "Bill of Rights" that actually allows the average US citizen to hold congressional and senate folks legally accountable for their actions? If President Bill Clinton can lie under oath "I did not have sex with her" and make a fool out of his wife and the people of the United States, making a mockery to the world of presidential accountability, where will it end? It seems that there has been a serious change to "The Bill Of RIghtss" and the "Constitution". I am not sure if there is an apparent unseen writing underneath the writing that can be seen that nulified the written verbiage. Is there something soblimunal being broadcast on our TV's, Radio's, DVD's or CD's that says "you are a stupid person and must obey and follow your Republican or Democratic leaders? Is there something in our food or drink that is turning us into stupid people that really believe the US Government is actually there to serve "we the people"? What has happened to "one voice" being counter? One vote being counted? Why are dead and buried people still voting in elections? What happened to the basic colors of RGB? By some ungodly chance have we already allowed the United States to be bought out by another country and nobodey told us? Is there Board of Regents that represent all the major corporations in the US that tell the politicians what to do and say????

If a person is in the US legally, and desires to become a US citizen, it is sad when such a person is poor, homeless and unemployed. America is no longer the Land of Opportunity. It is a country like any other where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. We are a country of the lazy, where legal citizens who are poor, homeless and unemployed of their own choices demand compensation and get it, driving the costs of living up for those of us who choose to work and live honorably. We are a country who would rather spend billions we don't have to help people in other countries than help those destitute and deserving of assistance in our own country. As an American citizen, I am not trying to discourage you. This country has many faults, but it is great in many ways as well. I'm just trying to get you to see that America isn't the Holy Grail that many immigrants and illegals think it is.

Never made over 20,000 dollars, I have the ability to Understand People. Believe everyone deserves oppurtunity and should have a job. would do this as a President, First to boost the economy, I rescend the 787 billion for Government projects because government projects only stimulate government power. As part of the Plan to rejuvenate the Economy I would clean up America versus throwing money at shovel ready pork initiatves. I would call for a national census, anyone who didnt have American citezenship would be deported to there country they illegally came from. The wall around Mexico would be built in three years. Corporations that evade taxes with offshore accounts leaving the burden for the common people would automatically be fined triple the amount they funnelled into offshore accounts and would be held in detaining camps until it is verified they are not supporting terrorism. Also there corporation License would be revoked for 1 year. Bernie Madoff would be expedited to a prison similiar to San Queintin. Churches that use American Currency as a means of operation would no longer be exempt from taxes as most preachers and churches are profitters and do not help the public enough. Health care would be regulated, as if you have healthcare you would have for large surgeries, only a copay equal to the amount of your monthly or biweekly premium. Doctors and surgeons would be regulated, they would have to supply you with there complete record of proficiency report, 3 strikes and your out in the Medical Field. Corporations importing goods from china or anyother country would be regulated. 200 billion of the 787 billion that I rescend, would be used in creating manufacturing plants in America where good were again Manufactured in America, All corporations and companies selling goods would have to sell at a minimum 65 percent American goods, made in America. Companies that neglect the law would be punished with a 1000.00 dollar fine for each product that over the 35 percent limit for foreign goods. Companies like Nike who get there shoes made for under a dollar and sell them here for 100 dollars would be regulated in how they pay for labor and will be forced to pay minium wage even to foreign country workers. I believe this would be a make sense approach to curving the recession, companies would come to being American companies or forced out of the mix. I would make a strong campaign against North Korea and there reckless attitude, if they threaten America and our Liberty and Peace, I would Immediately Call for a strategic war strategy and would seek to kim jung il and jung il for expulsion from the Planet. I would require auto makes to produce an electric car, better proficient hydrocell within two years of my campaign or there license would be rescended and they would be unable to sell new cars for 1 year. I would force the Middle east to learn to use something other than oil to bargain with America by building hydrocell stations throughout America, creating less oppurtun ity to even be obliged to trade with the Middle east. Any one who isnt an American Citizen and hasnt went through a thourough evaluation check would be restricted from operating a convenient store. I see to many Middle Easterners running stations with combustable fuels. Not In my Country. Every American would respect the American Flag, anyone wanting to have an American Flag on a Flag pole in there front yard in a subdivision would be able to, If any action was taken against those who choose to have an American Flag in there front lawn by any commitee or homeowners association the entire working order against such would be thrown into Jail for Conspiracy. Believe everyone deserves oppurtunity and should have a job. would do this as a President, First to boost the economy, I rescend the 787 billion for Government projects because government projects only stimulate government power. As part of the Plan to rejuvenate the Economy I would clean up America versus throwing money at shovel ready pork initiatves. I would call for a national census, anyone who didnt have American citezenship would be deported to there country they illegally came from. The wall around Mexico would be built in three years. Corporations that evade taxes with offshore accounts leaving the burden for the common people would automatically be fined triple the amount they funnelled into offshore accounts and would be held in detaining camps until it is verified they are not supporting terrorism. Also there corporation License would be revoked for 1 year. Bernie Madoff would be expedited to a prison similiar to San Queintin. Churches that use American Currency as a means of operation would no longer be exempt from taxes as most preachers and churches are profitters and do not help the public enough. Health care would be regulated, as if you have healthcare you would have for large surgeries, only a copay equal to the amount of your monthly or biweekly premium. Doctors and surgeons would be regulated, they would have to supply you with there complete record of proficiency report, 3 strikes and your out in the Medical Field. I believe this would be a make sense approach to curving the recession, companies would come to being American companies or forced out of the mix.
