I need legal counsel or an accountant who knows the laws of the state bank and the united states?
Greeting I'd like guidance on something, it happens that my friend was looking for work in the USA found an Internet about being the personal assistant to a person who was outside the country, the man said in his work that would send a number money for him to make a purchase and send it to the country where he was because in America it was cheaper and I was going to make a payment for each order that you did, also informed him that the check would arrive to send him, it happens that the man told my friend that was going to send a check in which my friend had to collect their pay and send the rest, when my friend get this check, he had come to name him, but he sent someone who was not the man who hired him, he spoke with U.S. police on this man who hired him for the job taught him the checks but did not say it was another person who sent it and they said that it was confident of this legal thing my friend went to cash the check with a personal speech for a nurse bank and they say that all is well that one day the check would be transferred in cash to your account bank, spend a day and my friend check your account and check the money is in it, seeing it comes to withdrawing money from their account to withdraw their pay they were $ 400 and transfer the remaining money that was left of the check, as 3 days later my friend is going to withdraw money he had saved and going to an ATM to withdraw your money and says he can not see that the bank calls and tells them what happened informs you that your account has been closed because check that the tank had no back, I had to pay the amount the check cashing in 110 days had to pay, also said they can not have more account to any other bank in USA, and this will lower your credit. Now my questions are: 1. because the bank is charging you money on when they should collect it from the person who wrote the check? 2. because the bank before depositing the cash will not be checking on that day gave him the check had no background? 3. it was the duty of the bank before giving money to check why did not they? 4. It is the fault of the bank that this happening? when I ask this question I mean that they ought to review before making a deposit? 5. to be my friend to do? already sent a message to that contract, talk to the police and told them to look for information from the gentleman in the bank where the check came, and unless the Lord appeared in 15 days I had to make a statement and were going to find. 6. In these cases, so does a bank, where the person retirement check is not at fault and was the victim of a hoax, and if this person is not listed? 7. there is not any way that this will not affect your credit? Thanks for your help: D

Wow, that first 'sentence' is the longest I've ever read. Anyway, this is a very common scam, your friend is screwed. There is absolutely nothing he can do because the original person is not in the US.

Isn't "socialism" inherent in our governmental structure?
Isn't "socialism" inherent in our governmental structure?
Each State sends money to the federal government in taxes. The Government then doles out money to the States to fund things like interstate highways and other programs. Some states send more money than they get in return, others send less and get more. For example, New Jersey, for every dollar we send to Washington, gets $0.61 back. But New Mexico, for every dollar they send gets $2.03 back. In essence, the money from the highest earners (states like NJ, NY, Connecticut, California, etc.) goes to fund the states with the least revenue (New Mexico, Missippi, W. Virginia, etc.), and the highest earners have to make due with what is left. Sounds a lot like that old Marxist Credo "from each according to their ability, to each according to their need", right? Sources: http://www.taxfoundation.org/research/show/266.html (shows the return each state gets for every dollar sent to DC) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/States_of_the_United_States_of_America_by_income (ranking of States by income)

Yes it has been that way since 1913. With the passages of the income tax and Federal Reserve act.

The states arent sending money to the Fed govt. the Fed govt charge taxes, they collect it directly. Even that link you provided states ranked based on federal taxes collected and federal taxes spent in that particular state. Its not like the state is collecting taxes then sending it to DC. Doesnt work that way That link is pretty much showing the distribution of federal money towards the states. Its not the dollars the state sends, its the dollars the federal govt collects in that state. Hence the label of: "Federal Spending per Dollar of FEDERAL Taxes"...no mention of state taxes there.

Most people are too stupid to realize this

Yes, the second answer pointed out some valuable information: 1913, progressive tax structure, paper money............all that good stuff. "Socialism" wouldn't be possible without printing presses to "fund" it. And even then you can only fund it for so long.

"Socialism" is the construct in which the government controls the means of production and the distribution of wealth. None of the items you mention are direct socialist constructs. On the other hand, the administration takeover of auto industries, banks, health insurance, education, etc. These are socilist actions, and I am proud of them. As Al Sharpton said the other day, "First of all, then we have to say the American public overwhelmingly voted for socialism when they elected President Obama"

Please Read if You Believe its time to Revolt.?
Any concerned government official reading this (who wouldn't support this idea because it would jepardize their paycheck and position)please calm down. I am not gonna overthrow your corrupt and ragged "democracy". Now those who are here to help please keep reading. I feel that the time has come to over throw our government and their so called "democracy". They infringe many constitutional rights, and only see the millions that are getting from lower class tax payers. The founding fathers did not have this in mind when they created the United States of America. Unfortunately over the years money blinded government and turned it into a crocked and backwards leadership. The United States is currently the strongest and most able country in the entire world. In a decade or less Russia, and/or China will be. Our "democracy" fails to see the hundreds of real problems. They try to end the recession but in reality they are only making it worse. The current recession will NEVER be fixed(until the government is fixed) because unlike the past economic crises there are alot more problems, under the surface, related to the economy. In a century or less humanity will end because of the population crisis. Recently in Britain a thirteen year old boy became a father. Now i am only 13 myself but this made me furious that a thirteen year old is raising another human being. What will he do for money after his parents die cuz he obviously isn't going to college now. What I'm trying to say is todays society is preventing the economy from being repaired. Garbage, golbal warming, and population are all HUGE problems that we must address. Now i will be honest. I wanna overthrow the government and replace the current "democracy" with a more sucre, fair, and equal democracy that is truly a peoples government. However many people fear the government and the military. I wish that people would first realize that if something is not done quickly then we will be fucked. I also wish people would realize that where there's a will theres a way. The military is not as powerful as you think and with enough technology they can be defeated. Just look at Korea and Vietnam. The government is the same way if the south was a little smarter in the civil war they could have won. Same with Hitler in his quest to conquer the world. The government and there military puppets are not as strong as you may think. Also we as citizens must address the problems of society but we are to afraid of the government so we sit back and watch the "democracy" do their worst to us the people. We are responsible for fixing our government and unfortunately our forefathers made the government to strong to destroy it from the inside so we must overthrow it from the outside. Please please reply if you agree with me. I could care less about what anyone against me has to say. And like i said earlier i am not going to overthrow your precious "democracy" so put your guns and handcuffs away and don't begin deploying your Marines to police the world because that is not our job either. So reply if you agree DON'T if you don't agree with me. Tell your friends and family to read this comment on anything else that could be improved or anything else that the government is denying us unfairly. Thanks :] i dint say i dont care about anyone who disagrees has to say i mean that anyone who wants to tell me something i already no i dont care

It's well past time to revolt. I just hope enough people wake up before they lose the ability to fight back (notice the increasing attacks on the Second Amendment).

We do have a chance to overthrow the government.. every time an election takes place. Unfortunately the media has the masses blinded into thinking the direction we are headed in is the correct way. I strongly disagree. In the most recent election, the majority saw fit to go for a more socialist agenda. I still disagree, that's my right as a voter in the good old US of A. As for your comment about not caring what anyone who disagrees with you has to say. That makes you just as bad, if not worse than those you say are ruining this country. Besides, if I were you I would be more worried about the latest video game than the affairs of those of us who are old enough to vote.

I agree with you for the most part, but who do you presume will handle the task of overthrowing our government? You mentioned that it must be done from the outside, but obviously as a U.S. citizen, this notion must concern you. You probably don't need me to tell you this because you most likely get it all the time, but you are a smart kid. You remind me of myself a bit when I was 13. Maybe when you get to be my age, you can become a Community Organizer like myself(then you are eligible to be president!) Then you can fix the country that way.

Why is the United States military budget almost equal the entire world's military spending?
Why is the United States military budget almost equal the entire world's military spending?
Our country makes-up 46.5% of military spending in the world. China makes-up 6.6% and Russia makes-up 3.5%. Here is a graph that shows global military spending: http://www.globalissues.org/article/75/world-military-spending#InContextUSMilitarySpendingVersusRestoftheWorld No wonder the U,S. has a 14 trillion dollar deficit, we have been doing this type of outrageous spending since 2001. I think the war on terror is an over-inflated threat. At least when their was a cold war, the threat met world nuclear annhilation. Probably all the terrorist organizations put together can't come up with a billion dollars. We have already spent 1.147 trillion dollars on the Iraqi and Afghanistan war. Here is a website for those wars: http://costofwar.com/en/ It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see why the U.S. has such a high deficit. If we would have had politicians with common sense, we would never have been in this debacle. As a country, we need to stop all this unecessary spending on the military and use the money to make our country great once again. This war in Afghanistan bankrupt the USSR and will bankrupt us next. All the way back to Alexander the Great, the people of Afghanistan have been fighting somebody, and after the U.S. they will be fighting somebody. Why should the U.S. waste the lives of our young and all that money to fight a threat that will be there long after we leave? This terror threat is more nonsense than valid. We can do the same with a tomahawk missile, than deploying American soldiers at a reduced cost. Why isn't the U.S. military budget greatly reduced and used for programs such as job creation and fixing America's infrastructure?

I wonder too. Besides the U.S. is not ten times more secure than any other country and any major operations that the U.S. military have attempted from Somalia through Yugoslavia to Afghanistan and Iraq have not ended in decisively positive results. Maybe U.S. foreign policy needs more brains not more weapons. Perhaps some of that money can buy some.

A combination of the accident of history, the nation's own interests, our economy, and a certain level of national pride/stubbornness. 1) Accident of History - I am referring of course to the end of WW2 and the beginning of the Cold War. Russia's ascent during WW2 combined with the total decimation of Western Europe meant that following the war, the US was the ONLY western nation left intact to counterbalance Russia's desire to spread communism across the globe. The US had just ramped up to superpower status to meet the challenge of WW2 and was in a truly unique position where for the first time in its history, ramping down and returning to our neutral isolationist mode was not seen as prudent. 2) Our Interests - The fact is that the Pax Americana that results from the US superpower status is a HUGE economic win for us and everyone else. Without the US securing shipping lanes and creating a common security guarantee for trading partners, we almost certainly would not see the global economy having grown like it has in the last 50 years or more. We almost certainly would not have seen OUR economy grow like it has. We almost certainly would have seen more large scale, multi-nation wars that would likely draw other participants in and risk larger wars. Do we benefit enough to offset the cost? Mmmmm, hard to say. I doubt it. But we definitely have higher revenues due to these expenses. 3) Economy - The fact is that the US economy has been the most consistently fast-growing on the planet these last 60 years. Yes, the last couple years were rough, and certainly recent developing nations look strong, but they've been doing it for a fraction of the time. No economy can afford it like we can. Indeed, many European states spend almost nothing on military and are STILL bordering on loan defaults (see recent Euro zone troubles). If not for us, they would have to spend on their own militaries. 4) Price/Stubbornness - The fact is that while the national character of the US traditionally was isolationist, we had a job that only we could do, and by national character we were not going to shirk it. Now that the emergency of those early years and even the cold war are behind us, I think alot of Americans would like to walk away from this job. But who will pick up the slack? Likely no one, and we take a certain pride in doing the job that needs to be done. I also think that our national character has changed somewhat during this era of superpowerdom. I think the US citizens take pride in being the global policeman.
