Aquiring awork visa to the United States, how is it done?
I'm a 21 years old man from egypt. i have a degree in business information service and i've worked for about 6? I'm a 21 years old man from egypt. i have a degree in business information service and i've worked professionally with computers from the age of 15, i speak both Arabic and Enghlish fluently. i'm seeking an employer in the US who would be willing to sponser a work visa on my behalf, i don't care about the salary, i'm very professional and dedicated. is there a way for me to find such employer? Additional Details anyway i feel i should make 2 things clear. #1 : the financial situation in hell is better that what's in my country right now. #2 : and this is what actually matters. i'm not doing this for money, i'm doing this for love. and to answer previously raised questions in a previous discussion: * i do have a bachelor's degree for four years of full study. * the girl i fell in love with is an american citizen and living in texas at the momoent. * going to school in America sounds great, but unfortunatly i can't afford it. * i do not qualify for a Fullbright scolarship because it requires me to be atleast 25 years old. and when i say i don't care about the salary, i mean i'm not much in the way of spending and i know i'll be in a whole new country and have to start over so i only want what i need to survie day to day, just enough for food, drink and rent. one more thing, if i do find a sponser they would only need to file a form I-140 on my behalf, they are not requierd to provide me with any financial aid what so ever. and though i've worked in IT for as far as i can remember, i'm also a jack of all trades as you say and i'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty. thank you all for your quick replies, however in answer to the newly raised questions: * i have posted my resumee in job hunting sites, i'm just looking for advice because i think that is not working. * i don't want to envolve her in this because i don't want her to feel like i'm using her, it's just not an option i only told her that i would be there as fast as i can.

don't post all of your qualifications on yahoo answers, post them on a resume site like monster.com or send them in applications to possible employers

Some clarification. A work visa is file on an I-129 Form. The I-140 is for IMMIGRANT visa petition for alien worker. Your US citizen girl friend you fell in love with in Texas can help you two ways. She can (1) get an employer who would be willing, able to sponsor you on an H-1B visa specialty occupation based on your education and experience. Then when in the US, the same employer could sponsor you as an immigrant for the same occupation, this time on the Form I-140 immigrant visa petition form. The waiting period for the EB3 - for professionals and skilled workers - is about 5-6 years, about the same time that your H-1B would have reached its maximum duration. (2) Marry you. Then you can apply for adjustment of status (on Form I-485) based on a concurrently filed I-130 petition by a US spouse. You can also file the I-765 employment authorization form so that you can get to work. The unemployment rate in the US remains slightly above 9% so not too many US employers will sponsor a foreign worker. The fact that the 65,000 H-1B quota was reached only recently -as opposed to the quota being filled in a day or two 3 years ago - is a testament to the tight job situation - especially for sponsorships. Good luck and good day to you and your girl friend.

Not going to happen, unless you want to wait 5 years. Or you could get a fiancee visa, and go over there in 8 months or so, but you would have to marry your gf within 90 days of coming over.

you having a bachelors degree doesn't mean anything to the USA, sorry. They have PLENTY of people with BAs, MScs, and PhDs looking for jobs, and they will hire an American before hiring you. I am immigrating to the US on a fiancee visa, which sounds like your only shot. otherwise, forget about it. It's not an option? Then get used to not living in the states.

Pick a visa There are basically NINE ways that you can get a visa to live and work in the US: (1) Marriage (or engagement in anticipation of marriage) to a US citizen. (2) You have skills that are in short supply in the US e.g. scientific or medical training. A degree is normally a must. Or you have superior specialist skills with at least 12 years experience. (H visas) (3) You have an Employer who is willing to transfer you - but even the employer has to make a good case for you - so you have to be a manager unless you fall under category (2) above.(L visas) (4) You may get a Green card in the diversity lottery (UK citizens, except N.Ireland, are not generally eligible unless you, your spouse or parents were born abroad or held a different citizenship. (5)You own or buy business (does not get you permanent resident status i.e. no green card)You must be a national of a qualifying Treaty countries. The business must have a minimum value of around $150k (more the better) bearing in mind you will need somewhere to live and with any startup business you will need at least 2 years living money as back up. So a figure of $350k would be a nearer minimum (E-2 visas) (6)You are an "investor" i.e. you have at least US $1m in assets to bring with you. half of that in a few areas. And your background will be investigated to the hilt. (EB-5 visas) (7)You have a close relative (mother, father, brother, sister and no further) who is an US citizen who would sponsor you, approx time this take 2-12 years? (8.The R1 visa is available to foreign members of religious denominations, having bona fide non-profit religious organizations in the U.S., for entering the U.S. to carry on the activities of a minister or religious worker as a profession, occupation or vocation (9)THE UNUSUAL You are in a position to claim refugee status/political asylum. or You get a member of Congress to sponsor a private bill with legislation that applies just to you. The S visa issued to persons who assist US law enforcement to investigate and prosecute crimes and terrorist activities such as money laundering and organized crime Recruitment agent will not take you seriously if you are not already in the US. Writing for jobs is really a waste of time; likewise US employers have no idea what foreign qualification are or mean (except Degrees) it may pay you to get your qualification translated into a US equivalent, there are Companies that do this (www.wes.org) .. But if you are getting a visa under (2) above then you need a job offer before you can get the visa. Your Employer will be your sponsor this will cost them upward of $5k. So you can see you have to be offering something really special to get considered They may also have to prove to the Dept of labor that there is no American who can do the job if the position is to be permanent ©

Not possible, you need to have skills so rare that the employer can't find an amrican to do the job. So based on what you said its impossible.
