Current economic situation in america.. make me money?
Okk so im sure were all aware of the current economic turmoil facing the world and particularly the united states. Ok bare in mind im 16 so go easy on my knowledge. Ive been thinking because the dow jones ie. american dollar is so worthless at the moment i could buy £20's worth of dollars... and then after all this is all sorted out and the dow jones price increases i could sell the dollars back and end up with more than my inital £20.... would it work? isit risky? if nott please explain.

How can I feel free, secure and able to use my constitutional rights while living in the United States of America when the US Government itself denies me these same rights? In order to preserve the security at our borders (by letting people cross into the northern US where there are no fences between Canada and the US, no check points, no border crossings, or to the south, allow people to enter freely from Mexico through our simple system of a fence in a desert, listening for keywords in all of our communications, our computers, watching us from the sky in satellites, monitoring our every movements, watching our bank accounts, our savings accounts, our daily money transactions, watching our check writing, our ATM usage, our credit card usage, counting our handguns and rifles, monitoring the purchase of ammunition and gun powder, and yet I should feel safe and secure in my own home? When will the words "we the people" ever mean anything to the corporate mongers that actually run the US Senate and the US Congress and the PAC's and the white-house flunky in charge at the time? When will we actually be able to once again believe that we actually have civil rights? When will the constitution of the US ever become meaningful again? When will we be able to hold those in office of US Government accountable for their stupidity and wrongdoing? When will we have a new "Bill of Rights" that actually allows the average US citizen to hold congressional and senate folks legally accountable for their actions? If President Bill Clinton can lie under oath "I did not have sex with her" and make a fool out of his wife and the people of the United States, making a mockery to the world of presidential accountability, where will it end? It seems that there has been a serious change to "The Bill Of RIghtss" and the "Constitution". I am not sure if there is an apparent unseen writing underneath the writing that can be seen that nulified the written verbiage. Is there something soblimunal being broadcast on our TV's, Radio's, DVD's or CD's that says "you are a stupid person and must obey and follow your Republican or Democratic leaders? Is there something in our food or drink that is turning us into stupid people that really believe the US Government is actually there to serve "we the people"? What has happened to "one voice" being counter? One vote being counted? Why are dead and buried people still voting in elections? What happened to the basic colors of RGB? By some ungodly chance have we already allowed the United States to be bought out by another country and nobodey told us? Is there Board of Regents that represent all the major corporations in the US that tell the politicians what to do and say????

Never made over 20,000 dollars, I have the ability to Understand People. Believe everyone deserves oppurtunity and should have a job. would do this as a President, First to boost the economy, I rescend the 787 billion for Government projects because government projects only stimulate government power. As part of the Plan to rejuvenate the Economy I would clean up America versus throwing money at shovel ready pork initiatves. I would call for a national census, anyone who didnt have American citezenship would be deported to there country they illegally came from. The wall around Mexico would be built in three years. Corporations that evade taxes with offshore accounts leaving the burden for the common people would automatically be fined triple the amount they funnelled into offshore accounts and would be held in detaining camps until it is verified they are not supporting terrorism. Also there corporation License would be revoked for 1 year. Bernie Madoff would be expedited to a prison similiar to San Queintin. Churches that use American Currency as a means of operation would no longer be exempt from taxes as most preachers and churches are profitters and do not help the public enough. Health care would be regulated, as if you have healthcare you would have for large surgeries, only a copay equal to the amount of your monthly or biweekly premium. Doctors and surgeons would be regulated, they would have to supply you with there complete record of proficiency report, 3 strikes and your out in the Medical Field. Corporations importing goods from china or anyother country would be regulated. 200 billion of the 787 billion that I rescend, would be used in creating manufacturing plants in America where good were again Manufactured in America, All corporations and companies selling goods would have to sell at a minimum 65 percent American goods, made in America. Companies that neglect the law would be punished with a 1000.00 dollar fine for each product that over the 35 percent limit for foreign goods. Companies like Nike who get there shoes made for under a dollar and sell them here for 100 dollars would be regulated in how they pay for labor and will be forced to pay minium wage even to foreign country workers. I believe this would be a make sense approach to curving the recession, companies would come to being American companies or forced out of the mix. I would make a strong campaign against North Korea and there reckless attitude, if they threaten America and our Liberty and Peace, I would Immediately Call for a strategic war strategy and would seek to kim jung il and jung il for expulsion from the Planet. I would require auto makes to produce an electric car, better proficient hydrocell within two years of my campaign or there license would be rescended and they would be unable to sell new cars for 1 year. I would force the Middle east to learn to use something other than oil to bargain with America by building hydrocell stations throughout America, creating less oppurtun ity to even be obliged to trade with the Middle east. Any one who isnt an American Citizen and hasnt went through a thourough evaluation check would be restricted from operating a convenient store. I see to many Middle Easterners running stations with combustable fuels. Not In my Country. Every American would respect the American Flag, anyone wanting to have an American Flag on a Flag pole in there front yard in a subdivision would be able to, If any action was taken against those who choose to have an American Flag in there front lawn by any commitee or homeowners association the entire working order against such would be thrown into Jail for Conspiracy. "In God We Trust" would be removed from the dollar, It would say "In Liberty we Prevail" from now on. Minimum wage would be 10.00 an hour and a living standard Increase would be automatically provided for corporations by which they should within 200 days adhere to. meaning if living standards go above 10.00 hourly, you would receive an Increase, if they go below 10.00 hourly, you would still get paid 10.00 hourly, typically thats roughly 300 dollars a week at a minimum. Every American working 40 hourse should make atleast 300 dollars after taxes, and that might not be enough but its a start to 7.25 hourly. Employer taxes would be lowered, If an employer employs a citizen from there county or township they would receive an additional tax decrease. Many employer's are hiring outside the commuties they are in and I would impose that atleast 50 percent of there workforce should be within there area from 5 to 15 miles in radius. I would personnally lead a campaign to receive opinions on if the IRS should be restructured to just a tax on what you buy. Is the answer to keep people ignorant so that greedy manufacturers can go on polluting the planet and fighting wars for oil? The answer is to spread the word about the Tata Motor Company in India and MDI in France and another company in Melborne, Australia who are all producing the cleanest cars on the planet that cost very little to run using compressed air. You are either part of the solution or part of the problem. Go green today. Stop using gas guzzling, polluting vehicles and get a really clean car that uses only air. If you are really so concerned about pollution get entrepeneurs, engineers and scientists to produce compressed air cars of your own in the greedy polluting United States of America before the whole world is brought into a war because of the silly short sighted need for oil. Make sure you vote green and inform all Democrats about the green solution. The Republicans are past help. They are mostly selfish greedy mean warmongers who think money is better than people.

Well with air compressed cars there are several things people dont like about them. They are small gay looking cars that cant outrace a guy in an electric wheel chair. They cant be used to move furniture and cant fit 5 people in them without slowing them down to a crawl.

It probably isn't, it's probably a short-distance car with no stamina, so it is <practically> useless for most American driving. There used to be compressed air locomotive engines, but they could only go so long a distance before needing a recharge of pressure ( EXTREMELY high pressure ). So I doubt there is any service station available that can do THAT yet anywhere. As far as mean, money-hungry politicians, why don't you ask about Mr. Jefferson, the $90,000-in-the-freezer Democrat, or the other Earmark specialists in the DNC, who are so anti-money? Huh? Because they're ALL hungry for money ( mostly taxpayers ). Republicans don't have the history of tax-and-spend of the Democrats, but they're catching up. Stupid idiots. All of them. Anyway, your air engine probably won't work long-term. Might be a high-density urban partial solution, but needing external power to be provided for it's fuel, it's already doomed due to it's non-independent operational needs. There used to be compressed air locomotive engines, but they could only go so long a distance before needing a recharge of pressure ( EXTREMELY high pressure ). So I doubt there is any service station available that can do THAT yet anywhere. When you ask your question why do you answer it? We have developed engines that are gas free but you just like air engines there are problems with them, ther is one engine that blows up and uses compressed air once started they can't stop it and it explodes. The biggest reason is we have so many stupid people in the US that would hurt themselves with new tecnology that no one wants to get sued. Look at ford for example two cars rol over SUV's because of 2 pounds of air pressure is it fords fault or the idiot driveing the car? Unfortunately America establish it self as only "A land of opportunity", an Eldorado to become rich.So most new comers came with the idea of becoming rich before take-off to go back home and live "La Dolce Vita" in Europe. Today with rapid transportation method, the new pioneers dont have to die of old age in American soil.Each years many productive people are living United-States with million dollar worth of retirement money or accumulated wealth. The stupid republican government doesn't do anything to stop that.Country like Russia and France control citizens who go to live in foreign land.Today million of American baby boomer go spend their last years in Thailand or the Philippines. I don't think that it is a good idea for the government to "control citizens who go to live in foreign land." If you LEGALLY live in the US and then LEGALLY retire in a foreign land, then OK.

In some ways, it's worse. I knew a Filipino man who build a quarter million dollar home in the Philipines. It was a while back so the value have escalated. Unfortunately he is in debt in the US. I asked him after a creditor called him demanding payment, if he was going to abandon his debt and live off the money he squirrelled asway in his home country, and he smiled. On teh otehr hand, I knew an Armenian who thought this country was paved in gold. After he found out he had to work for a living and debase himself by working for others, he moved back to his home country and abandon his wife and kids because they believe it's better in America. It's stupid for them to retire in a third world country, unless you understand that country. We are a country of opportunity because we have laws to protect our gains. People often buy homes in Mexico and find the government won't recognize the sale but won't do a thing to return the money that these retirees spend in purchasing these homes.

Heck, to me, the fact that I even have a S.S. # takes away from my freedom. Weird huh? I just don't like anybody telling me who I am and what I can or can't do. I've been around the world a little and still think that America is about as free as it gets, even though I can imagine even greater freedoms. Can you tell me, where there might be more freedom? Recently, I've found myself thinking that America, amongst others, is more interested in profits and affluence as opposed to quality and preservation. It's a real shame because it could be such a better place.

HOW OBAMA HAS SPENT MONEY Barack Obama has just spent a near Trillion Dollars on a Healthcare Reform bill that more than 60 percent of Americans do not support. One of many reasons for the lack of public support is the people's unwillingness to be forced by law to pay for something that may or may not even work. This is also a reminder that there is a culture among Washington beaurocrats that your money is their money. There is no line drawn in the sand determining when "enough Government is enough Government." Obama also spent a fortune on auto bailouts to GM, yet Ford ironically benefited from the lack of Govt regulation, GM went bankrupt regardless of the billions spent. In the history of our country, never before have so many billions of dollars been thrown at pretty much anything. The tone in Washington is since the U.S. is already in a deficit mess, nobody will know the difference if we make it worse....we can just convince everybody all this mess was Bush's mess until they stop believing it. HOW OUR COUNTRY WAS DESIGNED TO WORK Our Founding Fathers intended for the USA to establish the smallest amount of Government possible to defend us from foreign aggressors and protect us from each other. In other words, the only reason for Government regulation anywhere should be to protect the line between another individual, partnership, or corporation's rights and freedoms from overstepping mine. It is Government in the interest of the people, no Government against the people. During the 20th century we have expanded the size of Government to a state never seen before, and Obama has just taken it to new heights, a mess we cannot back out of. If Social Security is not sustainable, nor is medicare, because of the retiring baby-boomer generation, then how can we support monstrous NEW legislation on healthcare reform? This program is not sustainable long-term, it is a disaster. We are putting the taxpayers in a habit of spending we cannot keep, and adding more and more to this. WHY EXACTLY IS BARACK OBAMA DOING THIS? I do not dislike Barack Obama as a person, I think his intention has always been to do this best to build this country up and to fight for the unemployed, lower and middle income families, and I will say that his heart is in the right place. Unfortunately, to be an effective leader you have to think long-term. Simply put, you need to not just think about your popularity, your party base, your target voters, but you really need to stop and think "How is the work I am doing as president going to impact the state of the United States of America long-term? If the best measurement of long-term sustainability is the Federal Debt, then this is going to matter. Just as the debt of Americans eventually forced Americans to stop consuming luxuries, they realized when it was too late that YOU CANT SPEND WHAT YOU DONT HAVE. I really think Obama means well, but he has lessons to learn, he is young and inexperienced in many facets of life and here is where you pay for that...it comes with the judgment of what people want NOW vs. what really is the long-term impact of what you are doing. This is where age and experience comes into play. WHAT IS THE IMPACT? It is uncertain how we will EVER get out of 12 Trillion Dollars of debt, who and what people will devote themselves to this cause and when? It is a plausible question, a frightening one as well, in an uncertain world. I recommend that we make major changes in November, maybe get some independent party members in Congress, we need major changes in this country, we need a DIFFERENT different direction. And besides, where are the country's priorities? If we have 10% unemployment rates, then we have a much much bigger problem than healthcare. First, our focus should be on building the economy, then everything else can fall into place. Without investment, job growth, and innovation, there's precious little chance we can fund anything at all.

We are never going to be able to fully get out of debt. In ten years they are estimating a family of four would owe $144000 to pay off all of our debt. Obama is waiting for someone else to pick up his mess, but we won't be able to.

Obama did not rack up 12 Trillion Dollars of debt. The debt has been spiralling out of control for decades under both Republican and Democratic governments. What's important to look at is what is building the debt. I, for one, prefer debt that works for US citizens, such as healthcare. I do not agree with spending an unreal amount of tax money on a war that has made US relations worse and was initiated for the greed of a few and not the benefit of the Americans.

I'm from Canada and I must say universal health care isn't all that. With the widening gap between rich and poor, more and more people are not able to afford the proper health care they need. Obama did not create this debt. Clinton actually reduced it, then we got the 8 years of GWB. It increased spectacularly during his term. Mostly from fighting a definitely unjust war and one questionably unjust war, which we can't win. Further, Obama inherited the market/bank failure. Bush was proposing many of the same inevitable fixes that drove us further into debt. It's convenient for the right to blame this all on Obama, but, it ignores the facts. Health care reform is long overdue. In time, it will act to decrease our deficit. Not to mention the fact that it is the right thing to do.

The current administration that is now occupying the taxpayer’s White House is offering NO solutions to the economic difficulties facing America today. Instead this current White House is trying to change the way America is being governed at the expense of the taxpayers, our Constitution and at the expense of all future generations. Since taking office and being voted in, because of an America that was tired of George Bush - Obama has NOT addressed any of the problems plaguing America’s economy - instead he is piling on to the problems and CAUSING most of the turmoil that exists in our economy today. If George Bush had been so bad and had wasted so much money - then why wouldn’t Obama try to REDUCE the deficit instead of doubling it, causing it to GROW to record amounts? Why would Obama go on a massive spending spree when everyone knows we are bankrupt and have no money? Why are the debt clocks still spinning in the UP direction - when all this administration should be doing is REDUCING the debt? The unfortunate answer is that the Obama administration is intent on destroying the American economy, redistributing our wealth and making it so that all the people are heavily dependent on the government for most of their needs - this is Obama’s dream and his warped view of how a society should operate. This is also what shall cause him to be voted OUT of office in 2012. If Obama really wanted to help the taxpayers, American business and Capitalism - he would just get government out of the way - and THEN he would get a second term - but the way he is running things he is guaranteeing himself only one term.
