How to make America more than a Country to make money and become Rich?
Many vagues of immigrants came to America. The oldest vagues of immigrants that came to America during 1801-1878 stayed, reproduced and died without going back to their native lands. Those were German,Scott and Jewish immigrants that built modern America. But today is an entire different story. Unfortunately America establish it self as only "A land of opportunity", an Eldorado to become rich.So most new comers came with the idea of becoming rich before take-off to go back home and live "La Dolce Vita" in Europe. Today with rapid transportation method, the new pioneers dont have to die of old age in American soil. Each years many productive people are living United-States with million dollar worth of retirement money or accumulated wealth. The stupid republican government doesn't do anything to stop that.Country like Russia and France control citizens who go to live in foreign land.Today million of American baby boomer go spend their last years in Thailand or the Philippines. With Italians moving back to Italy to live Dolce Vita and make wine,Russians are going back to Russia because of improving economy there under an authoritarian President.Even old ancestry Americans are retiring to Thailand,Costarica or the Philippines to live deserted neighborhoods behind them.Only the poorest and disfranchise stay stick the the land to spend on the economy. The most successful, smart move away with billions of American tax money to be spend abroad when retired or rich enough. Why countries in Europe doesn't know that sort of Exodus.A wealthy German stay in his native town.A wealthy Russian Oligarch stay in Russia unless Russian mafia track him down or he get expulsed .Why every wealthy people in the world want to be buried at "Pere lachaise" seminary in Paris but not in New-york.Money, the blood of America, is is spilling out, enriching the entire world but no Country in the world show a sincere gratitude.IS there something Lady Liberty could to to stay beautiful?

Sorry I don't speak incoherent babble .

I don't think that it is a good idea for the government to "control citizens who go to live in foreign land." If you LEGALLY live in the US and then LEGALLY retire in a foreign land, then OK.
4 :
In some ways, it's worse. I knew a Filipino man who build a quarter million dollar home in the Philipines. It was a while back so the value have escalated. Unfortunately he is in debt in the US. I asked him after a creditor called him demanding payment, if he was going to abandon his debt and live off the money he squirrelled asway in his home country, and he smiled. On teh otehr hand, I knew an Armenian who thought this country was paved in gold. After he found out he had to work for a living and debase himself by working for others, he moved back to his home country and abandon his wife and kids because they believe it's better in America. It's stupid for them to retire in a third world country, unless you understand that country. We are a country of opportunity because we have laws to protect our gains. People often buy homes in Mexico and find the government won't recognize the sale but won't do a thing to return the money that these retirees spend in purchasing these homes.

Very interesting subject, although, your presentation needs A LOT of work. I think lady liberty could take a bath because freedom is what's most important! Heck, to me, the fact that I even have a S.S. # takes away from my freedom. Weird huh? I just don't like anybody telling me who I am and what I can or can't do. I've been around the world a little and still think that America is about as free as it gets, even though I can imagine even greater freedoms. Can you tell me, where there might be more freedom? Recently, I've found myself thinking that America, amongst others, is more interested in profits and affluence as opposed to quality and preservation. It's a real shame because it could be such a better place.

Is Barack Obama overspending America's taxpayer money?
Is Barack Obama overspending America's taxpayer money?
HOW OBAMA HAS SPENT MONEY Barack Obama has just spent a near Trillion Dollars on a Healthcare Reform bill that more than 60 percent of Americans do not support. One of many reasons for the lack of public support is the people's unwillingness to be forced by law to pay for something that may or may not even work. This is also a reminder that there is a culture among Washington beaurocrats that your money is their money. There is no line drawn in the sand determining when "enough Government is enough Government." Obama also spent a fortune on auto bailouts to GM, yet Ford ironically benefited from the lack of Govt regulation, GM went bankrupt regardless of the billions spent. In the history of our country, never before have so many billions of dollars been thrown at pretty much anything. The tone in Washington is since the U.S. is already in a deficit mess, nobody will know the difference if we make it worse....we can just convince everybody all this mess was Bush's mess until they stop believing it. HOW OUR COUNTRY WAS DESIGNED TO WORK Our Founding Fathers intended for the USA to establish the smallest amount of Government possible to defend us from foreign aggressors and protect us from each other. In other words, the only reason for Government regulation anywhere should be to protect the line between another individual, partnership, or corporation's rights and freedoms from overstepping mine. It is Government in the interest of the people, no Government against the people. During the 20th century we have expanded the size of Government to a state never seen before, and Obama has just taken it to new heights, a mess we cannot back out of. If Social Security is not sustainable, nor is medicare, because of the retiring baby-boomer generation, then how can we support monstrous NEW legislation on healthcare reform? This program is not sustainable long-term, it is a disaster. We are putting the taxpayers in a habit of spending we cannot keep, and adding more and more to this. WHY EXACTLY IS BARACK OBAMA DOING THIS? I do not dislike Barack Obama as a person, I think his intention has always been to do this best to build this country up and to fight for the unemployed, lower and middle income families, and I will say that his heart is in the right place. Unfortunately, to be an effective leader you have to think long-term. Simply put, you need to not just think about your popularity, your party base, your target voters, but you really need to stop and think "How is the work I am doing as president going to impact the state of the United States of America long-term? If the best measurement of long-term sustainability is the Federal Debt, then this is going to matter. Just as the debt of Americans eventually forced Americans to stop consuming luxuries, they realized when it was too late that YOU CANT SPEND WHAT YOU DONT HAVE. I really think Obama means well, but he has lessons to learn, he is young and inexperienced in many facets of life and here is where you pay for that...it comes with the judgment of what people want NOW vs. what really is the long-term impact of what you are doing. This is where age and experience comes into play. WHAT IS THE IMPACT? It is uncertain how we will EVER get out of 12 Trillion Dollars of debt, who and what people will devote themselves to this cause and when? It is a plausible question, a frightening one as well, in an uncertain world. I recommend that we make major changes in November, maybe get some independent party members in Congress, we need major changes in this country, we need a DIFFERENT different direction. And besides, where are the country's priorities? If we have 10% unemployment rates, then we have a much much bigger problem than healthcare. First, our focus should be on building the economy, then everything else can fall into place. Without investment, job growth, and innovation, there's precious little chance we can fund anything at all.

We are never going to be able to fully get out of debt. In ten years they are estimating a family of four would owe $144000 to pay off all of our debt. Obama is waiting for someone else to pick up his mess, but we won't be able to.
4 :
Obama did not rack up 12 Trillion Dollars of debt. The debt has been spiralling out of control for decades under both Republican and Democratic governments. What's important to look at is what is building the debt. I, for one, prefer debt that works for US citizens, such as healthcare. I do not agree with spending an unreal amount of tax money on a war that has made US relations worse and was initiated for the greed of a few and not the benefit of the Americans.
5 :
I'm from Canada and I must say universal health care isn't all that. With the widening gap between rich and poor, more and more people are not able to afford the proper health care they need. My friend actually wrote more about it here: http://www.thedashingfellows.com/healthcare-and-the-differences-between-canada-and-the-us/5789 It is from a Canadian's perspective, so I'm sure there will be a lot of americans who disagree. Anyway, I'm just glad we have it.
6 :
Obama did not create this debt. Clinton actually reduced it, then we got the 8 years of GWB. It increased spectacularly during his term. Mostly from fighting a definitely unjust war and one questionably unjust war, which we can't win. Further, Obama inherited the market/bank failure. Bush was proposing many of the same inevitable fixes that drove us further into debt. It's convenient for the right to blame this all on Obama, but, it ignores the facts. Health care reform is long overdue. In time, it will act to decrease our deficit. Not to mention the fact that it is the right thing to do.

I agree that Barack Obama is overspending the American taxpayers money. The current administration that is now occupying the taxpayer’s White House is offering NO solutions to the economic difficulties facing America today. Instead this current White House is trying to change the way America is being governed at the expense of the taxpayers, our Constitution and at the expense of all future generations. Since taking office and being voted in, because of an America that was tired of George Bush - Obama has NOT addressed any of the problems plaguing America’s economy - instead he is piling on to the problems and CAUSING most of the turmoil that exists in our economy today. If George Bush had been so bad and had wasted so much money - then why wouldn’t Obama try to REDUCE the deficit instead of doubling it, causing it to GROW to record amounts? Why would Obama go on a massive spending spree when everyone knows we are bankrupt and have no money? Why are the debt clocks still spinning in the UP direction - when all this administration should be doing is REDUCING the debt? The unfortunate answer is that the Obama administration is intent on destroying the American economy, redistributing our wealth and making it so that all the people are heavily dependent on the government for most of their needs - this is Obama’s dream and his warped view of how a society should operate. This is also what shall cause him to be voted OUT of office in 2012. If Obama really wanted to help the taxpayers, American business and Capitalism - he would just get government out of the way - and THEN he would get a second term - but the way he is running things he is guaranteeing himself only one term. To win over the American people, Obama should immediately lower taxes for businesses and individuals - even though he doesn’t think so, this will INCREASE the tax revenue NOT decrease it - this is where his thinking is trashy - he thinks the only way to bring in more money is to raise taxes - this however is counter productive and will actually hurt what he is trying to get accomplished. Obama is afraid of Capitalism - he has never actually held a private sector job nor has he ever created a job - he is afraid of Capitalism because capitalism requires the LOWERING of taxes and the minimizing of government’s role - two things Obama is dead against. There are no solutions coming out of the White House because Obama is not thinking SOLUTIONS - he is thinking POWER GRAB, REDISTRIBUTION and the FAILURE of CAPITALISM - this is why America will continue to slide towards Sociaslism, Marxism and Communism - exactly what Obama and his followers want. o_O

The answer is he has not over spent. He is following an economic model that has been used many times to get us out of painful recessions. What do you think about Mexicans coming to the United States?
What do you think about Mexicans coming to the United States?
It seems like a lot of people believe in God but do they really? america is the most religious nation in the world in terms of attendance at church services and religious meetings. we are overwhelmingly christian and religion has seeped into seemingly every facet of life. "one nation under god". but if im not mistaken, as a result of colonization by the spanish conquistadors, mexicans are overwhelmingly catholicized, and have shown themselves to be some of the most devout followers of christ in the world. so why doesnt that come into play in the illegal immigration issue? if we are all brothers and sisters in christ, why arent they allowed to come to america and make a decent living? it seems like every thing is love thy neighbor on sunday and theez damn mexicans on monday morning. my country (UNITED STATES) cares about one thing.MONEY.. the elite use religion like its a tool.

Anyone can apply to enter the US legally. Do you think it is fair that people are waiting and others sneak in illegally? And it does not matter what nationality....all should be able to enter but LEGALLY.

Mexicans are coming here because the Mexican government cannot or will not provide for their own!!but they do all they can to stop Nicks, guatamalans etc from coming to or thru Mexico? double standard huh? why does the Church in Mexico not take a stand for poor people? that country is so corrupt, and we are not far behind, that nothing gets done!

I have no problem with it as long as they do it legally like everyone else has.

ur right religion is very useful and dangerous because it controls people

Religion is only good for manipulating the people thats it, most of those whom call themselves christian(political figures), dont care anything about humanity, for what did Christ come to do?, and he shall save the people from their sins. If they really believed in uplifting humanity, instead of helping destroy her faster than a speeding bullet, then we wouldnt have to be worried about starvation, hunger, poverty, disease, and so forth. Its all a tool for more division amongst the sheep. As far as the mexicans coming it doesnt matter if they stay in mexico all the factory jobs will be over there any way, but the govt. doesnt care about them coming over here its like let them come and compete for the lower wage jobs with the poor, and the barely able to further the gap between the rich and poor thats all.

Do you think that this ELECTION YEAR is the best one in the history of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA ?
Do you think that this ELECTION YEAR is the best one in the history of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA ?
I have done some research. And I would have to say that this is better than Regan versus Carter. Bush versus Kerry. And some others were excellent too, but I can't quite name them right now. Help me out guys......... Anyway, we have seen it all in this election when it comes to the war against Democrats and Republicans. I have not seen it this bad since Kerry and Bush. It is even better. I mean off all the cherry picking of comments, race baiting, character defamation. The list goes on. Obama is a Muslim. McCain is a Communist. Palin is a school girl bimbo, and it goes on and on, and on. I have never seen such passion and determination between the 2 parties ever. Im only 30 by the way. Look at the Saturday Night Live skits. It is actually funny again. And the eye glass stores are making money off of Sarah Palin's glasses. It is crazy !! Obama is our hero, and McCain is a zero. And Bush, oh my gosh, we won't even talk about him. But anyway, do you think that this Election year, 2008, is the absolute best one of all time ? Answer here. Let us not forget about the RNC and DNC party. They were good. And all the speeches were good, too........

I disagree. Given the choice of candidates, this is one of the worst elections in history.
3 :
HELL NO.....the worst maybe look at the choices an old bag or a terrorist
4 :
i think this election is the most exciting, and it's the first time voting for me (obama!)
5 :
Every election year seems to be the best and most critical. nothing new from last election, or the one before that.
6 :
Yeah I think it is. It's been a very intense campaign so far, but to me, one of the most important.
7 :
I would call it the most annoying
8 :
Actually, probably one of the worst in history, as both candidates are seriously unspectacular. In this whole country, this is the best we could come up with? McCain an old, crankly, liberal Republican vs. Obama, a secretive Marxist/Socialist who wants to change the country at it's core and sees the USA as a problem. Lame Lame Lame...this is the best we can do?????????
9 :
Best? Or worst?
10 :
No. it's shown how low this country has come, I mean it's downright scary! I think it's terrible the way the women were beat up in all of this, Hillary and Palin, and how racism reeked because of a man halfwhite and half black, and a hit on those who are considered 'old'. Dirty dirty politics and things like ACORN, which is guarenteed to have the election fixed. No, this is really bad.
11 :
I disagree. Obama has spent way too much money. McCain has sunk so low with his name calling I don't even recognize him as the great American I thought he was.
12 :
Oh ****yes! It's entertaining as all get out, and the aftermath will be incredibly entertaining. We will get to watch a formerly proud country deteriorate into socialism or see rioting at a scale never before seen in this country.
13 :
No, I think this is one of the WORST elections in the history of this country. Neither of these candidates represents what the majority of the people in this country want. Neither of them are particularly good for this country. Neither of them really have a clue in the important areas (well McCain is at least experienced Militarily). These are probably the two worst candidates running simultaneously that I can remember and even looking back through the history books it's pretty hard to find a worse pair of presidential candidates...

At what age were you first aware of your pride in the United States of America?
At what age were you first aware of your pride in the United States of America?
Can you remember? I mean really remember? As I think back over my 47 1/2 years, I think I felt pride when I was in elementary school. Once when we were raising money for the Red Cross to help others. Again, when I so wanted to be in the flag raising group - the group of boys and girls responsible for raising and lowering the flag each morning and afternoon. And once more during the 1972 Olympics - watching our athletes stand on the winners podium, seeing our flag raised, hearing our national anthem played. I'm not sure what to make of a person (for example, Michelle Obama, who'd like to be the First Lady) who does not feel proud of his or her country until she or he is 40 years old or older.

I became very proud of America from the moment I step foot into the country as an immigrant. Coming from a very conservative and provincial-mind culture at the age of 9, I was shocked that another country where the predominate ethnic majority is different from mine would welcome me into their country and allow me and my family a chance to thrive. When I became naturalized as a citizen at age 15, it was another instance that I felt a swelling of pride. I was allowed to have the full rights as any other citizen of this country that is founded on so much promise and ideals of equality. However, are there times when I am deeply ashamed of my country? Of course, many times. I think that's OK, as long as we are willing to work and help make it better. It was a very poor choice of words from Michelle Obama. She admitted that it was a mistake to put it that way. I bet if you ask her this same question, she would easily be able to point out much earlier when she had been proud of America. She said what she said because she wanted to really emphasize how proud she was of the US at that moment. At that moment, her pride in America was so great that she forgot about all the previous times when she was proud of the US. Haven't you ever said something that you don't fully mean and regret?
12 :
I never diss America, but I think pride of any individual country increases a feeling of separateness and can create a feeling of superiority when we all need to be there for one another. I don't allow my country's politics or any country's politics to cause me to feel any way in particular towards an entire country of people when there is good and bad everywhere. I feel Fortunate to have been born in one of the countries that allows a decent standard of living in general. But I also know I have an obligation to help my brothers and sisters who do not.
13 :
I can remember as a child in elementary also having a great sense of pride while saying the national anthem and singing the star spangled banner. I remember I was once fortunate enough to help raise and lower the flag one day. I was not sure why but it was such a great moment for me. I am still proud of my country and I think that if it takes someone that long to realize they are too, then it is not sincere.
14 :
I can't remember any specific time. Usually, the feeling involves pride in certain Americans, like the founding fathers, Lincoln, and FDR -- rather than pride in the "United States." Frankly, it's hard for me to feel proud when I think of the needless wars we've fought. Also the way we've treated minorities -- starting, right at the beginning, with the native Americans. I guess that blows any chance I had of being president, or even first lady. But it's the truth.

Is Sarah Palin Qualified to be president of the United States of America?
She had a 16 year old daughter get Pregnant in her House. She was Governor of Alaska For only 20 months when she quit to make big Money, 40 million. She went to 4 colleges in 6 years to get a bachelors degree. She is an ultra conservative. she has no appeal to independents but a small constituency of conservative followers. her daughter is a public disgrace but won't even allow her mother over to her house. If this person and Donal trump are the answer to our countries problems then only God can Help us

What is wrong with being ultra conservative? I agree with you about her and Donald Trump... but she is qualified. I am not saying that I want her to be president by any means. Her personal life doesn't matter at all.
2 :
Nice slant you put on it. Unfair and mostly not true, but a nice slant anyway. I don't say she is qualified to be president, but I do say she is more qualified than the fraud now in the white house. All things are relative, your silly hate mongering and lies aside.
3 :
Obama went to a racist church for twenty years and donated 20,000 dollars. His father was not born in this country and he is named after an enemy of the State. Obviously, the qualifications for leader of our nation have dropped considerably. With that being said, Sarah Palin would never et my vote. You sy that only God can help us, yet it appears that you would vote for Obama. Obama followed a warped version of 'Christianity' for nearly twenty years. If you're looking for God, than you won't find it in Obama.
4 :
yes, she can see Russia threw her trees wink wink so that makes her a good republican.
5 :
No. Don't even get me started on Sarah Palin. Gahhh.
6 :
None of what you mentioned disqualifies her. She is FAR from qualified though. She doesn't understand economics. She has a terrible view of foreign policy. She doesn't have any objectivity or ability to 'build consensus' (i.e. craft legislation that can actually pass in the US Congress.) Forget about Palin running. I'm sad about it though. I wanted Tina Fey to come back to SNL.

Then we allow illegals to live here without paying taxes, while we do. That is the unfairness of our taxes.

Where in the United States of America's Constitution does it say United Nations?
ARTICLE 1, SECTION 8 The Congress shall have Power: To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water; To raise and support Armies, but no Appropriation of Money to that Use shall be for a longer Term than two Years; To provide and maintain a Navy; To make Rules for the Government and Regulation of the land and naval Forces; To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions; To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress.... ARTICLE 1, SECTION 9 The Privilege of the Writ of Habeas Corpus shall not be suspended, unless when in Cases of Rebellion or Invasion the public Safety may require it. ARTICLE II, SECTION 2 The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States.... He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur.... The use of Military forces in hostilities is by definition WAR. I looked through the US Constitution and there is no such thing as "Police Action". Police action is a term used by Liberal Presidents that got us (the USA) in Korea and Vietnam and now Libya.

Perhaps you're thinking there was a Russian on the committee, (edit: that created the USA Constitution). edit: Actually, the USA agreed to the standards when they helped create them.
15 :
sigh. You answered your own question. Article II, Section 2: "He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur...." The United Nations treaty was ratified by the US Senate on December 4th, 1945. Here a bit of the Constitution you left out: Article VI: "This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land;" That make the UN treaty on-par with the rest of the Constitution. But onto the power of Congress to declare war. We haven't declared war on anyone since June 5th, 1942. Yet we've managed to fight several wars since. Simply put, Congress doesn't have the power to stop the President from sending troops into battle except through cutting off spending, and it's hard to do that when there are soldiers on the ground. So Congress passed (over Nixon's veto) The War Powers Resolution of 1973 (50 U.S.C. 1541–1548). This requires the President to notify Congress of any military action within 48 hours after its commencement. The President then has 60 days plus a 30 day withdrawal period to either get Congressional approval or to remove the forces prior to the deadline. Obama can have the Navy pound Libya for 59 days then order the fleet out, and never have to mention it to Congress. Perfectly legal.

Need To know what does and doesn't make the united states dependant?
Need To know what does and doesn't make the united states dependant?
Here is my essay need one more minute worth of writing for a speech please help: Is the United States truly independent? Webster’s Dictionary defines independence as the quality or state of being independent. Many people believe the United States is independent. Do you agree? Ultimately the question is: Is the United States truly independent? Our country is known for its innovative ideas and democracy. The United States freed itself from a tyrant, England. Among other things, it freed itself from paying “unjustified†taxes. In a way it got rid of its debt. Soon, however, the United States would face its own problems with debt . As our definition of independence states, independence is a state or quality. Today, our state or quality does not seem independent. Everyone seems punished by debt, whether it be their own or someone else' s. We pay taxes for bail-outs when, instead, those taxes should be going toward improving communities, education and helping homeowners keep their homes. This country is basically like a stock in the stock market. Just like investors would pay to support a company, other countries pay to support our country. Our country is not truly independent because we owe so much money in “loans†to other countries. In some opinions we are not self-sustaining. Going to other countries for oil, manufacturing, and coal suss keeping us dependent. Coal alone sustain half of our country’s electricity consumption. If it were not for the “kindness†of other countries to help us pay off our debt, the United States would no longer exist. Another opinion I can say is that the United States in most dependent on its own citizens. In order for any democratic process to work, the citizens need to play an active role in electing governments, voting on referendums, paying taxes, and providing goods and services to their fellow citizens. So it all depends on an individuals perspective. Individuals in tight situations might agree that the United States is dependent. If someone is doing well there opinion might be .â€The American people are those that make America great-- not imported oil, or any other exterior force.†But in all opinions the United States in different ways is dependent.

there is internal dependance, which is what makes us stronger i.e. all for one and one for all. there is external dependance, which creates risk and can make us weaker or stronger. history will tell.

Why does America go by the name United States? Do you think america live up to that name?
I don't think America practice unity at all. Reason is, America's main focus is ,money and power and fighting to the death to get the most of it, no matter who they stomp on to get it. Americans only come together, practice unity and help others is when...... 1. it's beneficial 2. it's a favor 3. a major disaster occurs, but a prompt help responds depends highly on your race and or ethnicity 4. you know someone, who knows someone else, that knows that someone you know (It's Who You Know) 5.the government makes terrible decisions involving large sums of money and nothing is done about it until it's not only affecting the lower class but the middle and upper class as well These are just some of my opinions and observations that I have heard from others as well over the years. They're called the United States because there are 50 individual states that have their own laws and governments that follow the same basic federal government, and must all adhere to the same federal laws. And that's still how it is today. So yes, they do live up to their name.
2 :
The U.S. government starting illegal wars and what not has nothing to do with the name of the country. The name is just a name. The rest is another story.

america is the continent, the united states of america is part of that continent, not the whole thing. we are united together under our constitution, we consist of states, and are on the american continent. t's not very difficult to understand, really. where did you get that obviously skewed idea of the usa? it's not like everyone in the country is the same or anything. there are a lot of different people. i love the land i live in, and the ideals of it. that's not to say i love every decision the govt makes, and it's not to say i think every politician is great. i get my say in it, and that means a lot. hell, i even voted last time around. made me so relieved when obama won!

Is the United States of America heading into Bankruptcy?
Is the United States of America heading into Bankruptcy?
Bill and Betty are having some financial difficulties. Here are the numbers: They have a house with a $1.1 million dollar mortgage. They have $329,545 in credit-card debt. Bill is disabled and they are living on Betty's income (net pay after all taxes is $50,636). They borrowed $36,409 from friends this year to help make ends meet. They are paying the friends 1.35% interest. Will this couple have to file for Bankruptcy? How long can they delay the inevitable? Sooner or later, the numbers will catch up to them, and they will be in some serious trouble. Bill and Betty's debt ratios reflect the same financial mess our government is in. Income: This is how much the Government takes in via taxes, etc. 2011 income is projected at 2.228 trillion dollars. Budget: This is how much the Government proposes to spend and has no relation to actual income. Since the Government always lives beyond its means and spends way more than it takes in, it has to borrow the difference, which is called the deficit. 2011 budget is 3.83 trillion dollars. Most people, including Obama, mix these two up: Deficit: How much they will overspend just in THIS year's budget? 3.83 trillion budget minus 2.228 trillion income = 1.6 trillions dollars, or 42% of what we are spending is beyond our means. Put another way, we are spending 72% more money than we are taking in. National Debt: The accumulated debt from all the years of deficit spending. This is currently 14.3 trillion dollars. Is the United States of America heading into bankruptcy? What is the truth here? If this post is deleted, it just reflects how powerful individuals just want to mask the truth, and continue to live in a sense of false hope for the future.

Yes, we are already bankrupt. In fact, as you pointed out we have a deficit and continue to spend money that we don't have. We're digging further and further into this whole that is this country's future and if we don't do something, future generations will need all that "hope" they can get.
5 :
Yes we need to cut about $1.7 to $2 trillion from the budget.

Bill and Betty must be smooth talkers to get into THAT much credit card debt:) The U.S. will NEVER go into bankruptcy as such - well not in the next 20 years at least. This is not a U.S. but a world economy question - right now the U.S. fuels the world economy in many ways. Once China unlinks the Yuan from the $ and starts to grow in a stable (as opposed to the erratic spikes in GDP growth that we see) and mature way it WILL take over as the world financial super power - this is not IF but when. Once this happens and the U.S. starts to take a less predominant role in the world economy it IS then possible that they could go into bankruptcy - it's very likely that China would then bail the US out - similar to the EU bailing out places such as Portugal and Ireland. But - in the short term - the US will NEVER be allowed to go into bankruptcy as this would create a MASSIVE depression around the world, the likes of which we have not seen before.

Would you believe me if i told you, that the United States Government is making you dumber to make you a slave?
Did you know that there is no law, that has ever been written or signed that says you have to pay your federal income tax... Did you also know, that precious $20 bill in your wallet really isn't worth anything? back before the 1930's all United States Notes were backed by its weight in gold. But in 1933 President Franklin Roosevelt had a national seizure of all gold privately owned by the public. Telling the citizens that we needed more gold to help stimulate the economy. as soon as the gold was siezed the government signed a bill saying that the United State's currency would no longer need to be backed by gold, rather we would distribute all the nations money from a central bank, and not need the notes to be backed by anything. making all United States' money... be nothing but worthless pieces of paper... the only thing that makes the money worth anything is how much we have distributed into nation... but need i remind you, the United States is in a constant debt. how do we pay for that debt?... with our Federal Income tax. but what creates this debt? you might ask. since the united states has a central bank constantly distributing more money into the economy every year the bank its self is printing enough money to help cover the debt... until America spends it... every time we spend our money it keeps further putting us into debt... the deffintion of the word debt is owing somthing to someone else... and if we always owe the government money... we are enslaved to keep paying a government that couldn't get it right to begin with. http://www.zeitgeistmovie.com/ It will set you free from mind control.

Maybe I am wrong, but I thought the reason they collected Taxes, was to pay for things like supporting the Military, repairing roads, bridges etc, not to put money into the pockets of the Tax collectors! It was supposed to be used for the good of the People and the country! Why doesn't the Governement just stay out of private companies business? What I would like to know, is how much tax did these guys OWE the Government before thay supposedly went boom? Why is this Government using OUR Tax dollars to put them back on their feet, so they can screw up all over again? We shouldn't HAVE to pay somebody elses debt! WE didn't screw up, so why is th Government punishing us? That is definately NOT the way to bring our economy back to life. The DC guys couldn't even run this cash for clunkers right, let alone run a country! They wasted money going around giving pep talks to people in Town Halls, about how great this healthcare plan is, when they didn't have a clue what was in it! Then they snuck all kinds of goodies into it, paying the Unions to back it, and using force to "persuade" people to agree to sign up, and God only knows what else they have slipped into that 1000 page piece of garbage!!! Why are these Democrats in DC acting like puppets, with NO minds of their own? What is it that King Obama has over them? Their jobs?? Or were they just paid to agree with anything he says, whether they believed it or not, and to hell with the Public!! The day si coming when these guys will have to step down from their pedestals, and come back to earth. How do they expect to be treated when they do? LOL!!! Yeah! Go back to their law offices or whatever job they had before becoming an elected official!!! Thy names are mud fellas!!! I hope you can squirrel away as much money as you can now, because only a fool would hire you! I really wouldn't mind "owing" the Government money, if they were actually working for us! They are OUR servants, not theirs! If they have something legitimate that needs fixing, sure! I would be willing to toss my two cents into the Pot! But when they start misusing the money and not giving anything back to the Public, THAT's when I start screaming "FOWL"! Let these companies, banks or whatever, crawl out of their own holes! Let's see just how much they really ARE in trouble! They wouldn't even BE in business if it wasn't for us and OUR money! AH!! the investors!!! Are they getting paid their dividends? Seems to me, if these CEO's can grant themselves a bonus, doesn't that mean, their companies are actually doing well for their investors? Do you think those guys are going to sit still and allow these CEO's to take the money if THEY weren't getting paid!??? How can they justify these bonuses if they are NOT making money!? If all the little people, like you and I - were to pull all OUR investments out of these guys hands, would they really and truly go bust?? You might have better luck with your money if you went to Vegas! At least, it would be YOUR decision which machine to drop your money into!!

Tipping in the United States of America?
Tipping in the United States of America?
Why is it that in the USA, restaurant owners think it is OK to pay their staff less than the minimum wage and make the customers make up the rest of the money? Even worse, why do American customers feel that it is their duty to tip, when it is a commonly known fact that if servers do not make up at least the minimum wage, the restaurant legally has to pay for it themselves? Why can't customers in the USA make a change once and for all and stop this silly tipping culture, forcing employers to pay their servers properly, and bring the USA up to the same level as the rest of the world?

1 :
You don't have to tip, its a kind gesture because they get shitty wages. Besides if we didn't have to tip and waitresses got paid higher wages the cost of the bill would be higher anyways
2 :
Why does it bother you so much? I don't know where you are from, but I can guarantee there are stupid and silly cultural norms there.
3 :
First off, minimum wage in this country does not include restaurants as far as servers go. So you are wrong there. Tipping is something a server earns through good service and it is not a guaranty. My question is, why do people from other countries come here knowing that tipping is the way we do things for servers here and stiff them anyhow? When I waited tables, I came to a table that had people from certain countries there, I cringed because I knew I was going to get stiffed. By the way, servers also pay income tax on tips now.
4 :
Quit being so cheap. Tipping is left to the customers because some servers are worth a lot more than minimum wage. And a lot of states now do pay their servers minimum wage or more plus tips. A good server will make $200 per day in tips. A bad server usually makes what they are worth as well. It is called incentive. People who want to make good money will work to get it, people who do not want to work will not make money. I personally think ALL industries should be that way. You don't have to come to our country. You don't have to visit America. Don't like it? Don't come. Simple as that. I'm an American that lives near the Canadian border and our hard working American wait staff at restaurants get screwed by the Canadians that come shopping here and NEVER tip.

Yes, we should get rid of tipping.

I'm an American and I complete agree with you! Why do I have to pay your employees wages?! Especially when they're not EARNING it!!

Doctors, lawyers, mechanics would then actually have to earn their money and not be able to tell you all kinds of crap. Mechanics would actually FIX the car. Doctors would actually HEAL people. police officers would actually PROTECT people. Oh my God, then people would actually be able to live better. why don't the united states of America gets its oil from Alaska instead of the middle east?
why don't the united states of America gets its oil from Alaska instead of the middle east?
it just makes more sense since Alaska is a state in the usa and the do have the Alaska oil pipe line pumping oil into the states why not just use it's own oil instead of giving it to the middle east some body told me America has enough of it's own oil for the next 500 years. Why not use our oil until we can think of a better way to fuel our homes? not giving money to the middle will stop the war would it not?

2 :
we are getting oil from Alaska but it's expensive to get it to the US mainland
3 :
We get a lot of our oil from Alaska. That's what the pipeline is for. We also get a lot from Texas, but they charge just as much as the Arabs. I guess Texaco is trying to destroy our economy too. Also, there are other ways to stop the war. For instance, we could put the troops on planes and fly them home, or send them to Afghanistan to get bin Laden.
4 :
Because it would cost the United States Way too much, with the upkeep of the pipelines and security. Also, America is trying to expand to all parts of the world for natural resources and oil, which is very abundant in the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Asia. So after they seize all the oil in the middle East(which is said to be sitting on about $5 trillion worth) then their next targets are going to be certain African nations, then eventually Asia.
5 :
Same with all the oil in LA that they now want to tap into. Because we would rather pollute other countries than our own. And we are too lazy to go without luxuries and deal with the altertative options that may ask us to give a little. We have become a lazy, spoiled country that has forgotten what it means to go without. In short, we have forgotten what all those who sacrificed and gaves their lives for so we could raise a generation of lazy, spoiled, overweight brats.

7 :
We get a lot of oil from Alaska. Alaska is the third largest oil producing state in the US but because of the conditions and the depth of the fields in Alaska it is extremely expensive to drill there. Currently the US has about a 10 year oil reserve in place. The US imports 60% of all oil consumption (Canada, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia being the 3 largest sources).
8 :
Alaska is for a reserve use ONLY. When everything gone bad in the Middle East, and the oil access there is short, than Alaska will be used. Why use your reserves when you have others fields to use?
9 :
Because it is not environmentally safe and against the law to drill in national reservoirs. This is exactly what the oil companies want... they are going to keep making record profits and not lower the price of gas until the public outcry demands we drill in Alaska... for them to get richer then when that oil runs out, we are in the same exact place.

As if we didnt know this?Even blacks in America;make money depending on skin color.DAMN?
Study says skin tone affects earnings By TRAVIS LOLLER, Associated Press Writer Fri Jan 26, 11:01 PM ET NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Light-skinned immigrants in the United States make more money on average than those with darker complexions, and the chief reason appears to be discrimination, a researcher says. ADVERTISEMENT Joni Hersch, a law and economics professor at Vanderbilt University, looked at a government survey of 2,084 legal immigrants to the United States from around the world and found that those with the lightest skin earned an average of 8 percent to 15 percent more than similar immigrants with much darker skin. "On average, being one shade lighter has about the same effect as having an additional year of education," Hersch said. The study also found that taller immigrants earn more than shorter ones, with an extra inch of height associated with a 1 percent increase in income. Other researchers said the findings are consistent with other studies on color and point to a skin-tone prejudice that goes beyond race. Hersch took into consideration other factors that could affect wages, such as English-language proficiency, education, occupation, race or country of origin, and found that skin tone still seemed to make a difference in earnings. That means that if two similar immigrants from Bangladesh, for example, came to the United States at the same time, with the same occupation and ability to speak English, the lighter-skinned immigrant would make more money on average. "I thought that once we controlled for race and nationality, I expected the difference to go away, but even with people from the same country, the same race — skin color really matters," she said, "and height." Although many cultures show a bias toward lighter skin, Hersch said her analysis shows that the skin-color advantage was not due to preferential treatment for light-skinned people in their country of origin. The bias, she said, occurs in the U.S. Economics professor Shelley White-Means of the University of Tennessee at Memphis said the study adds to the growing body of evidence that there is a "preference for whiteness" in America that goes beyond race. Hersch drew her data from a 2003 federal survey of nearly 8,600 new immigrants. The survey used an 11-point scale for measuring skin tone, in which 0 represents an absence of color and 10 the darkest possible skin tone. From those nearly 8,600 participants, she focused on the more than 2,000 who were working and whose skin tone had been recorded during face-to-face interviews. William Darity Jr., an economics professor at the University of North Carolina, said Hersch's findings are similar to a study he co-authored last year on skin tone and wages among blacks. "We estimate that dark- or medium-skinned blacks suffered a discriminatory penalty of anywhere from 10 percent to 15 percent relative to whites," he said. "This suggests people cue into appearance and draw inferences about capabilities and skills based on how they look." Darity said it is not clear whether the bias is conscious or subconscious. Hersch said her findings, which will be presented at the annual meeting of the American Association for the Advancement of Science next month in San Francisco, could support discrimination lawsuits based not on race, but on color. "There are very few color discrimination suits, but they are on the rise," she said. "But these suits can be hard to prove."

I love your post. Im a 33 year old white woman and before I read your post, I would have told you affirmative action is no longer needed. I was very surprised by the numbers. Though according to the study affirmative action may be no help at all to dark skinned blacks, since lighter skinned people seem to fair better even of the same race.

It doesn't take a stupid marketing survey to confirm what is clearly a remnant of the color bias which governs the world. Most receptionists, TV presenters, customer care executives are White or if colored, they have a light skin tone. When you call any company's toll-free number, if it is a customer from the Developed world, they put on line a White cheerleading girl - and a ghetto accent fat-lipped ho for other customers. Clearly, prejudice can never be ended - it can only be minimized and contained.
8 :
You have answered your question. Yes, you are right that in some field of work and also sometimes "skin tone affects earnings", though this is not the norm. If you were born in any of the countries in South Asia then you need not refer to so many studies to confirm your hypothesis. For example, in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh if a newborn is a (without prejudice): a) Boy: "Excellent", if he is as white as Caucasian: "Very Good", if he is Light-skinned: "Good", if he is Dark-skinned: "Fair". No problem, that guy could somehow manage to survive in the society. b) Girl: "Okay", if she is as white as Caucasian: "Very Good", if she is Light-skinned: "Fair", if she is Dark-skinned: "Oh my God". She may have some problem at the time of her getting married as the dowry would be required. Now you are complaining about employment and earning capabilities for blacks in America. See what good or pity life one would live in our part of the world, just because of his or her skin colour. To add with this, imagine the height that plays its role too. You can have a lot of combination and permutation for arriving at a person's fate or treatment he/she receives in this world. This is the reality on the ground and people are suffering mental agony for something for which they were not responsible (skin colour and height). Look at the leading TV Serials (drama and soap-operas) from India, Pakistan or Bangladesh, which are watched all over the world where South Asians are residing, you will hardly find any light or dark-skinned Indian boy or girl in leading or sub-leading roles. Except for villains and jokers these less-fortunate mortal souls are doomed to lower rung roles and society accepts these prejudices by way of keeping mum over such issues. Therefore, thank the leader and people in developed countries for accepting light and dark-skinned citizens on almost equal par, which are at greater discrimination in developing countries.

Why can't our Government, the United States of America help its homeless and jobless?
Where ever there's a state of emergency in the world, you can be sure that America will be there to feed, clothe, and house those displaced citizens in foreign lands. Please don't get me wrong. I'm not against helping foreign countries in their time of need. I'm just trying to understand how our Government prioritizes. Millions of dollars have been spent on foreign aid but American children, men and women continue to go hungry? Also jobless and homeless? I know there would be some that say, "Government money is not all the same. It's allocated here and there for specific purposes." Ok, fine. So what percent of that money goes to feeding Americans in need? One percent? I don't get it. Why can't our Government take care of its own first before taking care of someone else's country? I understand that politically speaking, it's in America's best interest to have allies. That goes without saying. I'm just trying to make sense of it all?

Why do people want to see victims where none exist? The people in the U.S. are far better off than people in most other countries. Poor and homeless people in the U.S. are that way because they choose to be.

When American Idol did it's "Idol Gives Back" show, Simon Cowell said he never realized that 9 million children in America go hungry. I believe the sad story with this administration, is that, they prefer to remain clueless. When people like Dick Cheney admit that they watch only Fox news, you know they're being shown, exactly what they want to see & nothing else. Disturbing. I don't believe some of the answsers here. Like the people in New Orleans who watched their homes & jobs swept away from Katrina. Or how about our seniors who are crippled with arthritis, who can't work? Or the older people who worked for GM or Ford & suddenly lost their jobs to out sourcing? Do they really think these people wanted this?! Unbelievable.
4 :
help the homeless people but dont tax the crap out of people who have jobs. dont become socialistic like the liberals want. btw. if you care so much take 10% of what you make every year and give it to the homeless families. thats what i do.
5 :
because the people here learned to abuse the system, poor people CHOOSE to be poor.
6 :
The homeless are usually crazy, and there's not much you can do to help them. The chronically jobless are just lazy and you can't help a man who lacks the pride to help himself.
7 :
compared to countries that the us is giving money we are very well off will a small homeless, unemployed, and poverty rates
8 :
we help our homeless everyday. unfortunately, some people are unable to use the given assistance to their advantage and improve their lives. they just want to stay on it indefinitely. We are not a socialist state so don't ever expect wide open financial help for those not willing to give some form of value for the money.
9 :
You know I think it is also a matter of the administration underscoring that we have this problem all over the United States. And don't think it is just in the urban areas...I'm near a rather affluent town on the east coast and the religious organizations in that town have their own soup kitchens. They just don't advertise. They tend to 'take care of their own' without any fanfare. But you are right... However, and I don't know why people can't see it...but we are headed in another direction...because the United States wants two classes of people. The rich and The poor. The middle class are too busy working and trying to pay hefty mortgages to see it yet. In less than a decade, however, we will have just what I have said. the rich and the poor. There will be no middle class.
10 :
They could easily solve the problem. But if they did, the candidates would not have the issue to run on in the next election. Like Clinton in 92 and 96. Promise a middle class tax cut to get elected. But did not happen either time! They want the issue to talk about during elections. Fixing it would take away their ammunition.
11 :
Most homeless people come from broken families, are drug addicts, are mental disabled or are disabled or crippled veterans that our govt. doesn't care about. The govt. only cares when they think people are watching.
12 :
we can't give free money to people otherwise we'd be in more in debt. but you're right when we should be focused on ourselves. But one reason why we're in Iraq is because Hussian was "trying" to take over the middle east ( not 100%sure but that's what my AP Euro book says) US was trying to stop another diatorship. to help the homeless, we need to help the jobless. Most homeless are jobless. One way to help the jobless is by having large government projects to employ many people
13 :
I do not even try to figure out how the government rations out OUR money to foreign countries. Personally I cared less about Sri Lanka and care even more less about Iran and Iraq. My causes are closer to home. The hurricane Katrina/Rita thing has not been resolved to date... Explain that. As far as all this money building up the military in a foreign country... what good will that do when our troops are dying at alarming rates everyday. To make matters worst... after we use the equipment... we leave it behind for all the terrorists to have their way with. It happened in Desert Shield/ Desert Storm... and it will again. What about abuse? What about homelessness? What about hunger? What about poverty? Disease control? Minimum wage? Hate crimes? Terminal illness? Social Security? Believe me... I have other concerns and issues that are more important to me. Our money and taxes are being squandered needlessly and there is pretty much not a damn thing we can do about it... Furthermore... What about the horrors in Africa? Bush wants to intervene so much... take on one of the real atrocities of the 21st century...

4 :
help the homeless people but dont tax the crap out of people who have jobs. dont become socialistic like the liberals want. btw. if you care so much take 10% of what you make every year and give it to the homeless families. thats what i do.
5 :
because the people here learned to abuse the system, poor people CHOOSE to be poor.

Can a state legally secede from the United States of America?
Can a state legally secede from the United States of America?
Article 1, Section 10 of the US Constitution states: "No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility." However, in my opinion, the Constitution says nothing about a state leaving the Union to become an independent nation. (Then it could enter into treaties or a different confederation - the South's argument in the Civil War.) Is this possible? Would it be up to the state legislature or would Congress have to approve? Would such an act trigger a domino effect that could lead to 50 independent nations? I'm just looking for opinions and ideas on this. I don't expect actual answers to the question from someone who isn't a Federal judge or a Constitutional lawyer (and even then, it would still be an opinion)

No! Of course not! Do you think this is a FREE country or something? Our rights are selected to make us feel like we're free. And to an extent, we are MUCH freer than most other countries in the world. I would definitely not want to live in many other places, but we are not as free as we claim to be.
2 :
The South didn't do so good trying it, did they?
3 :
Technically, some states can. After the Civil War, part of the deal to accept the confederate states was that they had to make it part of their constitution that they could not seceed. Other states may have included the same, especially after the Civil War.
4 :
Well, it seems like the Constitution is clear enough, I think according to it, states certainly can secede. The thing is, there's a big difference between "can legally secede" and "can legally secede, according to the Constitution". I have no real opinion as to whether or not that's fair, it's just how it is - I doubt a state could get away with it these days. Edit: John J's comment is interesting; I didn't know that.
5 :
Yes. But only through Constitutional amendment, which can either be proposed by Congress or a constitutional convention and then ratified by the States. Although the Constitution does not say that a state may not secede on its own, the Civil War answered this question in the negative. It's surprises that none of the Civil War amendments addressed the issue of seceding from the Union considering that secession was the cause of the War.
6 :
Hey if you ain't happy here go to the border and sneak in to Mexico. Maybe you could find a job that Mexicans don't want to do
7 :
Only if they are strong enough to do it. Andrew Jackson made it legal to use force to maintain the union and the Civil War put it to the challenge so the US has the right to keep the union intact by anymeans nescessary.
8 :
The only state that I know that can do that is Texas, it's in their constitution, and they consider themselves a republic.....as I understand.....

The United States of America becoming the "New Mexico" of the world?
The United States of America becoming the "New Mexico" of the world?
Just think of about it, millions of Americans out of jobs, prisoners being released before there sentences are up. Teachers and School Districts getting shut down. Really if you think about it, it's becoming more and more tougher to make a living (legally) than anything else. We are fast becoming a poorer and poorer nation that soon will even rival our poorer neighbor country down south (Mexico). We may be the newest third world country on the map. Even other countries and nations are refusing to take our money knowing that in just a few short years, it may be become worthless. What do you think?

Roughly how many flights are there per day in the United States of America?
Roughly how many flights are there per day in the United States of America?
I booked a flight today and was charged $5 for a "U.S. Security Service Fee." $5 isn't much on a $140 plane ticket, but I was wondering how many flights fly per day in this country. Wondering how much money "they" make just off that $5 charge that they put on each person's (I assume) ticket. By the way. Don't forget that it's $5 per person on each flight. So if 1 flight has 150 people that's $750 for that 1 flight. So let's say there are 10,000 flights a day and on average they hold 150 people each, that's $750,000. :) My math sucks. sorry. 10,000 * 750 = 7,500,000

What percent of the World's Pornography is made in the United States of America?
What percent of the World's Pornography is made in the United States of America?
so I will assume porno is legal. I am going to produce my own movies using cuban prostitutes and mexican macho men, and sell them in USA, to make money and participate in capitalism. Is that legal or illegal?

Ah, prostitution and pornography... the true fall of Communism.
2 :
Only about 32% is actually produced in the USA, most is produced in places like Amsterdam, Greece and surprisingly Mexico. Some states in the US prohibit the production of pornography so you may end up in Prison, but don't worry they make PORN in prison also.

How does a professional sitarist make money in united states with music?
How does a professional sitarist make money in united states with music?
Before you answer this I want you to know that I am an American, I was born in Colorado. So don't say something stupid like "Go Home" my home is Portland Oregon, home of the emo, deal with it! I am a professional sitarist, and I live in Portland Oregon, and I am interested in finding out ways that someone who's mastered the art of sitar can make money playing it in the united states. Ways I have earned money in the past, here's how: I have played live in bars for tips, when I had lots of people in the bar, I took home decent pocket money. I have played private parties, often times I'd been tricked, or ripped off at parties, but got free food and interesting company.Sometimes if I waited beyond the time the busses ran, I'd get enough money to pay for a taxi home. I have sold cds while playing music on the streets, I generally don't make much money playing on the streets, but occasionally someone rushing by asks how much the cd is, I give them a price, sometimes they buy sometimes not. I have worked for indian business men, playing sitar in their homes, very respectful, pay really good, and appreciate it's fine work and mastery, however those seem like once in a lifetime in America. I have worked in yoga studios, and that felt more like minimum wage job being paid to distract rich yuppies from their mundane existence. I played more extended shows and got paid less than I would just making cheeseburgers in that time. Worked in indie films, I did great work recording with the music directors notes, and before I got paid the indie film maker killed himself... that's happened twice since I lived out here in Portand, and sadly the recordings were lost. This city has a tendency to be way too emo. So what is there next to turn to? What's the next step? Should I just leave the city and go somewhere in india, or is there really hope for a really good sitar player in the country of USA? P.S. I am for hire in case you have a contract you want recordings of sitar to be done for.

First of all, sitar music is pretty sweet. and i think you should try and advertise more maybe, like put videos on youtube.com, etc. Eventually someone will notice you. hopefully :)
